Monarto Safari Park

NESTLED within the picturesque South Australianoutback lies Monarto SafariPark.

Amidst the diverse inhabitants and sprawling landscapes, it’s not just the wildlife that steals the spotlight, it’s the park’s water tanks that stand as unsung heroes of conservation.

Kingspan’s Rhino Water Tanks are strategically dispersed around the park, numbering approximately 15 in total. The tanks are equipped with sprinklers and fire pumps, serving as guardians for the park’s animal shelters and ensuring the safety of its inhabitants.

They fulfil a dual purpose by providing essential drinking water and greywater for cleaning. Minimising the park’s reliance on external water sources and reducing its environmental footprint. The tanks capture and store precious water, nurturing native plantations and quenching the thirst of the park’s diverse animal residents.

Zoos SA, the conservation charity behind Monarto Safari Park, said their purpose was to connect people with nature and save species from extinction. Zoos SA recognises the fundamental role that communities play in species and habitat conservation, demonstrated in the community engagement approach inherent in all their conservation projects.
